Hi! I’m Joy
I started swimming at a young age and have spent most of my working life at a pool as a swim, fitness, lifesaving and first aid instructor as well as a lifeguard.
I have over 15 years of experience teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages as well as adults. I have also taught individuals with different physical and learning abilities. With such diverse communities, I aim to adapt my lessons to suit different learner types and take the time to break down skills to ensure a solid foundation is formed. I combine safety, skill and stroke development with fun so that all swimmers gain confidence and enjoy the water.
Like a lot of people, I believe swimming is a life skill and I want to encourage everyone to learn how to be safe in and around the water!
